Past POISE Projects Include:
1) The Project Uplift Free Secondary School
A secondary school located on the outskirts of Kampala, Uganda
(East Africa), Project Uplift currently provides free schooling to
over 100 male and female students. The purpose of the school, as
stated by its founder, Brother Robert Martineau, S.C., is to
"...provide hope for those who would be without the hope of
having an education."
The Project Uplift campus comprises four classrooms, two
dormitories, a kitchen, dining room, recreational area, courtyard,
and staff rooms, the construction of which was made possible by
a grant from POISE.
